September 2008: Iwatsu Voice Networks began shipping its latest telephone series after two years of focus group study, development, design, engineering, and testing. "I literally placed our first demo phone in the middle of my desk for the entire first day even though it was not installed. Iwatsu has beat all the competition with this cosmetic, not to mention the self labelling keys,etc... " , says Ty Glassford, President. Many of today's telephone systems have feature keys with labels that do not seem logical to the average end user. Now with ICON, the end user can "label" the LCD screen name of each button with wording that is logical to them. For example, you may prefer to label your voice mail monitor key with "screen" or "listen" so you can hear your callers leaving a voice mail message. And, you never have to print your label as they are built into the LCD. Another huge feature is the bluetooth interface. Many clients have long asked for a telephone that can use the same headset as their cell phone bluetooth headset. Today, with ICON that is possible. In addition, stock quotes, weather, or other Internet http information can be scrolled as a ticker on the display providing real time data constantly! This new sleek nearly vertical high tech voice terminal is going to change the standards. Call Comtex today for your FREE demonstration. Best of all, many exisiting Comtex client's Enterprise Communication Server (ECS) telephone systems are easily upgraded to support this NEW telephone without a huge investment.
March 2008: Comtex announces partnership with Century-Tel to complete customer's one-stop shop experience. Comtex has sold and installed 5 locations with their T1 services which includes a 6 line bundled package for $395 per month. The bundle also includes 1MB of internet, email, and 1500 minutes of long distance. "Financially stable with a high degree of personal service are the two biggest factors for Comtex in developing this partnership", says Ty Glassford. "Recommending carriers for our clients has been a burden in the past. Not so with Century-Tel. We are proud to represent them in the Montgomery area."
