Searches in the database can be made by time of day and date or thru the Caller ID feature.
November 2009: Comtex continues agreement with CenturyLink to sell local, long distance, Internet, and other services. This will add to our full portfolio of products thereby making the ONE STOP shop more of a reality for our customers.
Sept 2009: Comtex announces the addition of IGEACARE Nurse Call Systems to their portfolio of products beginning in Fall 2009. IGEACARE is a leader in nurse call and assisted living communciation systems and has developed an integration with the Iwatsu telephone equipment that makes the combination into a single system less expensive than the traditional telephone and nurse call systems purchased separately. "We are excited about this NEW market potential and see it as a growth sector for many years to come," says Ty Glassford, President. Intercom to staff is much more efficient and less expensive than ever. We offer a pull cord notifier, intercom box, and wireless pendant for each resident.
May 2009: The demand for the ICON continues into the First and Second Quarter, generating almost 20% higher sales volume than 2008 for the same period.
February 2009: Despite the recent economic downturn, Comtex posts a profit at the 2008 year end. With the recent release of the ICON telephones in September, new telephone system sales skyrockets in the fourth quarter alone, making it the most profitable fourth quarter since 2004.
September 2008: Iwatsu Voice Networks began shipping its latest telephone series after two years of focus group study, development, design, engineering, and testing. "I literally placed our first demo phone in the middle of my desk for the entire first day even though it was not installed. Iwatsu has beat all the competition with this cosmetic design, not to mention the self labelling keys,etc... " , says Ty Glassford, President. Many of today's telephone systems have feature keys with labels that do not seem logical to the average end user. Now with ICON, the end user can "label" the LCD screen name of each button with wording that is logical to them. Another huge feature is the bluetooth interface. Many clients have long asked for a telephone that can use the same headset as their cell phone bluetooth headset. In addition, stock quotes, weather, or other Internet http information can be scrolled as a ticker on the display providing real time data constantly! This new sleek nearly vertical high tech voice terminal is going to change the standards. Best of all, many exisiting Comtex client's Enterprise Communication Server (ECS) telephone systems are easily upgraded to support this NEW telephone without a huge investment.
